The Zambian president, Michael Sata, yesterday the 28 of October 2014, died in London after receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness, the Zambian government said. The late president was 77 and in the course of his three year term, he promised to wipeout corruption and make foreign investors accountable. The critics of the fifth president of Zambia said he got some things done like improving infrastructure in the country.
He was known for his sharp tongue and was called 'king cobra' cos he got things done. His vice president stated that when he said he wanted something done and it is not done, 'he is thumping the table the next day'.
Close to the end of his life, Sata was plagued by reports of his ill health and disappeared from the public eye for three months. His last appearance was before the Zambian parliament in september 2014.
